The tail wheel spring are very light and don't retain there shape . I'm replacing the tail wheel carriage with a direct link to the rudder and order a stiffer set of springs from J&J tailwheel . Just bolts on to the carbon fiber arm .

I use a two washer method with the wide against the firewall and narrow one on top with a nylon fiber 1/4 nut ,7/16 socket . Even after 10-15 flights I open the battery bay and check the bolts , usually get an 1/8 of a turn on the nuts till its snug , from vibration and compression of the wood...

    PAU Ultimate assembly

Just warning you the plywood in the PAU doesn't have the same strength of the plywood we get here , don't tighten the motor mount bolts too tight as the firewall wood will compress. It doesn't take much to damage the landing block or crack the glue joints .

Photos of the damage fuse and the last photo is the maple block I install instead of the L brackets . I used a donor fuselage i recieved from Herve and used the parts to trace and cut new brackets and such . This is now my backup plane i'm using to break in a new DA 120 on Pro Flow pipes

    PAU Ultimate assembly

I used two metal hangers for the pipes . You might want to add some Maple brackets side those metal gusts . I have to rebuild the whole landing gear area , brackets ,plates and stringers after a hard landing wipe out my gear .

This is what my enclosement of the exhaust looks like . Balsa glued over top of the plywood to direct the heat away from the radio gear.

    PAU Ultimate assembly

The same with my Extra two large rectangle opening in the cover for the exhaust . I had to cut two to fit my tuned pipes also enclosed the area with balsa so the heat has a place to exit . Two canister brackets were install for the pipes and one for canisters .

Acerc I have had three PAU Extra's and would advise you to fill all the joints that have cracks . These model a produce in very damp condition and then dry out in a sea container for six to seven weeks . So I just used hysol expoxy in all the main cracks in the airframe . Looks like the same red...

Question? What's good in cheap servos these days?

Bartman how did you hear of Promodeler , Military grade servos sound like they would put up with all that vibration our engines produce and it kills electronics fast . Like the 25 tooth spline , might have to try these in 2019 always looks for better equipment. Thanks Russell

Question? What's good in cheap servos these days?

They are a very good radio about half the price of Jeti , are they service in Canada or the US . Great bang for the dollar .
