    DLA Engines

I will be really interested to see how much compression it feels like it has when you put a prop on it and go to start it. To me that was a sign that something might be off on the one I flew. And just to be clear I am not trying to bash the engine, just share my experiences so far. Also...

Best vehicle to transport Giant Scale

If you are looking at f-150's the 3.5L Ecoboost is a great combo for everyday driving and towing. We pull our trailer with my Dads '11 f150 Supercrew and you don't know the trailer is there at any speed. When we went to Joe Nall last month I pulled a 7x16 V-nose, averaging 70 and got 17mpg...

    DLA Engines

When I find out more information I will certainly let you know. When I looked over the engine it was pretty cool, the only thing I would say about the first impressions before flying it was the mufflers are crap! We actually saw a hairline crack in them before ever doing anything. I did...

    DLA Engines

One of our friends bought a DLA 128 four cylinder at Joe Nall and put it in his 2.8m MX2 so I got to try out last week and unfortunately within four flights the engine developed some issues and has been sent back in for service to see what went wrong. Before I got to the field they test ran the...

    Can you believe this guy?

It is unfortunate that someone lost an airplane or I guess a couple of them but there are certainly somethings that both sides possible could have handled better. Yes QuiQue and Dave should have had a spotter with them but the guys on the other side had 5 spotters and any one of them could have...

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Where is my thanks for the idea? :dancing-poop: I mean that was the one useful thing I told you about the other day. LOL!

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

DA-200 on JTEC QC-120 Cans. As for the scheme I am still trying to decide but I may do something like this one with different colors and no Geico stuff

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

actually in the background there is a 3.1m Extra and a special project that we are playing with (we will show it off probably in a couple weeks). Last night we went flying with some friends so on our way home we pulled the rudder out of the vacuum bag and cleaned it up to get it ready for the...

    3W 106 strange behavior

oops, I guess I should have read your post a little closer and I would have seen you said you found it. ;)

    3W 106 strange behavior

you couldn't have something simple like the clunk in the fuel tank getting hung up on the side or back of the fuel tank, could you? Try and look at the simple things first like tank or fuel lines and cross them off the list before you get into reed valves, chipped reed petals, carb blocks and such.

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

turtledeck is out of the bag and looks great. I love how well the parts look when you take them out of the bag. I thought I would give myself a bit extra motivation by mocking it up on the fuse. Just finished prepping the rudder and put it in the vacuum bagger, so in a couple of hours I will...

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

Since the shootout has been officially announced I figure I better make some time and get back to working on the MX2 so Shulman can use it there. Since the fuse is pretty much squared away for now I am going to move onto the foam parts. I finally had a chance to cut all the parts out right...

    Joe Nall 2016 = QUIET!!!

I agree. This is something we need to do for the good of the hobby.

Tuned Pipe Header Length and Prop Choice

to be honest it really depends on the exhaust brands that you are looking at. For example our JTEC HP-90 tuned pipes do not have the peaky transition that the RE'3, 1090's or greeves have so you will have a much more linear throttle response. Canisters in general will not have the peakiness of...

    Joe Nall 2016 = QUIET!!!

To late, Harley already has an electric! I have to admit I am quite taken back about the negative response by this and the unwilling of some to change in order to keep flying fields. This is not an issue that is exclusive to Joe Nall. While I do not agree with the mandating of certain items I...

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

I think Jerry Hailey would probably put up a pretty good fight for a short guy over that one!

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

We also received the production landing gear for the 3.1m MX which really gives it the height that the airplane needs and I think totally changes the look of the MX for the better.

IMAC JTEC Radiowave 3.1m MX2 Build

For those that have been asking about the 2.8m MX2, I finally had a chance to get some work done on it and it is now ready to release. Here is the link to the website where you can find out more information on it.http://www.jtecrc.com/28_mx_kit.html It does have a couple of updates to the...
