    Sorry guys, so after reading every single thread and trying every method I went out to the shop one morning and tried what would be one last time, somehow some way .... it bound! Have to make new models because the old ones do not bind still but any new one does now, also with the update came...

    Haven't tried that, so remove SD card, power up and attempt a bind, correct.

    Ok, after updating dx18 to use a variometer with sailplane , the radio no longer binds to any reciever any model, have tested on several reciever and tested them against a dx8 and every one of them works, cannot be rx. Tech help says any update will not interfere with binding and to send it in...

    Ignition kill on a double fault setting whenever possible. Two flips to turn off. Imagine your handing your plane over to someone for a test ride, their normal rate/snap/whatever switch is somehow in the location your ignition cut off and ... Suddenly you have a need to change your underwear...

    Have to admit, were pretty loose about time rules in Cali as far as start up, minute to box , two to land etc. As long as the flight line moves theres no one with a stop watch...usually... to time all that, but rules are rules and you could be dq'd for taking too long. Sims are great for muscle...
