    More ZDZ awesomeness, 224 Quad

Hmmmmmmmmm, I am looking for a 4 banger for my Pau/Dalton for IMAC next year. Just when I was thinking I was limited to DLE or DA. I was looking at the 3W quad but she is 13lbs. this looks to weigh in at 10lbs. I suspect that is bare engine but not to bad. Was hoping to buy a used DA 200 or new...

Plane Stand Pro - fuselage stand.

Your killing my Bro, your killing me. I need another stand! I emptied out my trailer for winter and quickly realized I should get another one to store my planes on during the winter. Send me another invoice please.

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

Along with this, you still need to have a good mechanical match. You can match end points and center but if the mechanical is not matched you will have binding in the mid travel on ganged surfaces.

Plane Stand Pro - fuselage stand.

I plan on bringing it to the next club meeting. I think it would work out well for several club members. I still need to stop at Lowes to get a piece of pipe. I don't want to use my wing tube to support the plane. I was just over there today and totally forgot to pick it up.

Plane Stand Pro - fuselage stand.

I recieved mine last week. Very nice. Should work out great. I think I will get another one in the spring to keep in my trailer. Never know when you need to get your plane up in the air for some repair at the field or contest.

SOLD! Jtec HP 90 tuned pipes

I purchased these pipes in the beginning of this summer. Used on both a DA150 and DA170. Since I am going to a quad I do not need these any longer. They offer smooth transition and low noise levels. On my DA150 with these pipes and a Mej 28.5X12X3 prop the airplane was almost dead silent in the...

    Oil debate

I have been using Stihl HP Ultra for many years. I was curious this year so I switched over to Redline. Other than smell I have not seen any differences between the two oils. Both are great and offered great engine protection. Carbon build up on my DA 150 and 170s are about the same, cylinders...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

on the back side of the most upper cooling fin. The back of the head suffers the most from lack off air flow so I have found that is the hottest part of the cylinder. obviously the exhaust port area is very hot but unless you use a EGT sensor it is hard to judge those temps.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

That was with baffling though. On my first flight with no baffling the temps were very hot. Close to 300F. And you cannot go with any sort of average because the flight envelope will dictate that. It all depends on engine load, speed of plane and air flow into the cylinders.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I have found that baffling is a must. My last plane was a PAU Extra 300SP. DA 170 on Planebender smooth pipes. I did an experiment and did not baffle at all. I flew the plane and within 60 seconds my telemetry alarm was going off. 350F. I was at 1/4 throttle most of the time and maybe hit 1/2...

    ZDZ180B2-J champion

If the port timing is right a rotory can make huge power on pipes. AKA Seadoo 785cc engines had to compete in the 1200cc class of jetskis racing.

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

you could use a XG6 using nothing but Xbus. 1 channel for 4 ailerons with a 4 port converter. 1 channel for both elevators, 2 port converter or use a 4 port and program rudder to run on rudder channel. Throttle, ignition kill, and smoke will also be on 1 converter that is 4 port. Not sure what...

WOW, very glad you figured it out. I cannot believe .5 degrees made a difference like that.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Yea the cowl is a rather problematic area. I use large rubber washers on both sides. It does help. I plan on laying some extra fiberglass on where the holes are with some metal or thin wood to try and keep the vibrations from egging out the holes. Loctite is a must also. Oh, Torx drive. It is...

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

Stang, LiIons have a nominal voltage of 7.4V. A123s have a lower voltage but a much higher amp output rating. While LiIons can drop 1-1.5v under load A123s may drop .1 or .2 under load.

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

I originally set it up as one servo per channel on my 28X but I also switched it over to Xbus as an experiment.
