I haven't posted much, but have been working on the challenger. I Mounted the cowl and mocked up the motor mount. I will be using the Valach 210 with a 2:1 canister. The motor mount is all mocked up now and have started welding the 3/8" thin wall steel tubes. The firewall mounts and the...

Scale MattyMatt's Exclusiv Modellbau 50% Challenger II

I love this plane. Looks great... It may be my favorite airplane I've ever owned. What do you think about bringing back the Scale in Scale Aerobatics? I'm thinking, the contest would have two parts. Static display judging, and sequence. I'm really tired of non-scale stretched out...

next, mounting the cowling, then make up the scale steel tube mount. The cowl just mounts with plastic L brackets, with nylon 4mm screws through the cowl. The cowl mounts flush with the front of the firewall. Then you use the spinner to locate the motor box. I won't be using the motor box...

JR Axis 3 axis gyro for airplanes

I flew the AJ Aircraft Laser today, 4 flights. I started with a gain of 30% on all surfaces in the sequence mode in Rate only. Then adjusted independently in flight... Unbelievable. In the 3D mode I have it set in heading hold mode. I started at 50% gain for all surfaces again, and adjusted...

I also setup the gain adjustments independently by using the trim switches to adjust the gains in flight.

JR Axis 3 axis gyro for airplanes

I was out of town for work this week and just got back to the Axis setup in my 73" AJ Aircraft Laser 230z. I updated my XG11 with the latest software which added some better screens supporting the XBus setup and the Axis Gyro controls. I started by copying over the Laser 230z model into a...
