Help! Looking for a prop adapter

My latest has a 10mm motor shaft. Fox makes a reamer that goes to 12mm. Looks like tower caries a 8mm motor shaft to 3/8" prop collet: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?I=LXMSG7&P=8

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

Looks great. Just maidened mine yesterday. A little cold and windy still some show pack on the grass but the runway was clear. I had already dialed down the ailerons from what I have read here. Plane handled great but I had it setup a touch tail heavy for the maiden (turns out the manual...

Help! Looking for a prop adapter

Not that I'm aware of. Have you tried using a prop reamer instead of drilling?

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Thanks for the vote of confidence 3DMIKE but I'm just a newer (<2 years) flyer off to a quick start and fully enthralled with the possibilities and challenge from 3D flying. Don't have much building experience outside of 2 Extreme Flight 60"ers and a AJ Laser 73" now under build. Cheers, Suds

Electric setup receiver battery pack necessary?

As Bloosee stated, with a 6-8S setup, a good ESC should have a capable BEC on board. HV setups can use a high capacity BEC such as: Castle BEC Pro, ZTW 12A BEC, Jeti 12A BEC, or equivalent.

Looking great. Send some of that warm weather towards the Midwest please. Especially in about 2 weeks when I anticipate completing my 73 Laser build.

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

Planning on pulling the trigger on this after some Xmas funds (hopefully) arrive. Have started to buy parts for a 7x" plane. Currently have a CC 85HV esc, BEC Pro, and 6354-200kv motor on the way. Need servos and the airframe now. I also have two 60" Extreme Flight planes (Edge and MXS) -...

extreme flight 74" edge. any news.?

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

I wonder if the EF power system is just too heavy for the 3dhs Yak with the 3dhs having 620 sq in wing area vs EF's 760 sq inches. I know sq in isn't the be all end all, just wonder it the 3dhs would benefit from a ligther build to maximize performance.

Unfortunately split_s is over 2 hours away. There is bound to be someone in the Indianapolis metro area on this site, I just haven't been able to find them yet. Perhaps chrisisnew@3d

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Thanks for the kind welcome 3DMIKE. Got a couple of flights in last evening before dusk. Go the flat spin working pretty well, almost pulled off a negative pop top and had some fun on with the knife edge (just a little coupling toward the canopy). Hope to meet up with some experienced 3Ders...
