Just getting caught up Doug. Great progress. 45 degrees is a great amount to have. I have always been of the mind that I set my planes up with as much deflection as I can get. I kind of look at throws like throttle management. Probably won't need it "all" the time. But it is so nice to have it...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

So the postman has been really good to me the last few days. I had been wanting to watch something different while getting some projects done so...I ordered a blu ray disc of "Conan the Barbarian" and "Conan the Destroyer". Oh man, that brought back some memories. LOL. I also received the new...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

A few projects done this last few days. Marie is now done and so glad she is ready to go. I also got the little issue with the choke on the Blue Nose taken care of. When I flew her back a month ago, she did a dead stick on me on the third flight just a minute or two into the flight. Choke had...

Oh how wonderful those photos are. Dang I miss my little ones...being little. Yes, absolutely enjoy every solitary second. Tomorrow they are grown and gone into the world on their own. Now all I wish for is a really big pumpkin with a red head inside. All for me!! Lol Great pics brother.

Omg, yes! Love that plane. Love that scheme. Love...love...love that sound. As much as I hate winter, I am so looking forward to some real building time. I want to get the Behemoth "Stang" started. Lol

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Actually, the wing loading is way less on Marie than ole Blue nose. Marie comes in at a whopping 16 pounds. While the little guy is right under 11 if I remember correctly. 78" vs. 65". And actually Marie is considerably far more forgiving. She's quite high spirited. But incredibly well behaved...

Long couple of weeks. Lots of progress on numerous projects. Weather has been pretty nice here. Maybe it will hold out for just one more day. Marie is finally back together and ready to pick up where the Blue Nose left off a month ago. Tomorrow (weather permitting) will be a Mustang kind of day...

Krill 39% Ultimate 300KS Assembly And Paint

It is odd to me why Krill only used four hinge points on a plane this size. I would think that a minimum of five would be more appropriately fitting. Then again, thinking back to how we used to build vs. the full scale airplane construction maybe four hinges are sufficient. Lol, huh! Back in the...

So then it is safe to say that "just came out of nowhere" and "just nothing" are from the same place???? If nothing is nowhere, and nowhere there is nothing... then honestly how can something be somewhere or for that matter how can somewhere there be something? OIY.... Mine too.

I see you all have been busy as usual. Great time of year to be doing some awesome projects. I added one more flyable plane back to the active duty roster this morning. I had been in search for a replacement to the DLE 61 on the front of the Baby Yak. It has been an exhaustive search and really...

The weather today was so picture perfect it was almost unbelievable. 71 degrees, no wind..maybe a gust to 5, but mostly calm. Plenty of blue sky and lots of good friends at the field. One of my friends had his Phoenix Models A26 out today. 95" of flying fun. He has two O.S. AX55's on it. Man...

Dang it buddy, I am so sorry. That really bites. (no pun intended) I am thankful you didn't lose any digits though. I have seen fellas lose a complete finger or fingers. One guy at a previous field I used to fly at took over 70 stiches in his arm when his electric plane took off without him...

Instructions are for sissies. I must say, Your split cowl looks real nice. Good job ole boy. When my son split my cowl for the 330 I was pretty impressed at the amount of skill it takes to do a real nice job. Oh I could have split it myself. But then it would have had more curves than...
