AKNIck has a very good point vs the Hitec HS5 series, but as I said, they work fine with my type of flying (Lazy sunday flying and STOL - I dont do any major acro or 3D with it..) I do not know the Spectrum world, but from what I see on the spec if you push 8,4V you get about the same...

Hello, Good to hear that dig it out.. its a far to fun flying airframe to be a hangar queen.. As to the DLE55.. I got a RCGF56cc in the T-110 and have not had any significant issues. Its nice to have the extra power when you load it up with the XCub main and the Airtops.. Just check the frame...

Yeah, the bolts tend to be tough.. This was a design error of my own making when I installed the prop.. I misaligned this hole when drilling the prop (wooden prop) and then had to really use force to get the bolt in. So, guess an toxic combination of over torque and misalignment is probably the...

Tried all tricks in the book, but the bolt eventually snapped! Tried to drill out the remnant but the freaking drill bit wouldn't bite and I managed to damage the side of the screw hole badly.... Trying to get hold of a new RCGF 56cc prop hub now.. :sorry: -In the mean time I have a RCGF45 at...

Very nice!!! -My machine is currently grounded due to a stuck prop bolt that broke in the hub and no time to fix it!

AKNick, thanks. Yeah, thats obviously a good point. However, have to order them online and thought I could try to get one set as close to original as possible. -Actually, when you mention in, I could also go for a slightly more HD to counter the RCFG56 in the nose to see if that save a few props....

Regarding the springs.. as I was dumb-a$$ enough to listen to an advise and remove the OEM springs, I struggle with the "home made" springs wear out fast.. Need to find some new. I can find the one I cut away back.. could anyone measure the springs: Need minimum the following measurements: L0...

I think so too.. Feeling "adventurous" I will order the TW together with some other stuff and see who it work out. (Probably receive it in 1 month or 2 as I suspect that the chineese strapp all the orders from AliExpress onto camels and transport it over the old Silk road through Asia...

Speaking for myself, I have not done any mixing. The Timber is currently grounded due to a faulty aileron servo and I had just started to play with the Crow when it failed... But my intention is to keep it very simple and install the function on a 3-way switch where middle postion would be...

I have to verify, but from recallection I ended with two settings on the switch: Aileron 3cm up and 5cm / Flap 3cm and 7cm. With aileron at 5cm I also find it making to much drag, but Aileron at 3cm /flaps at 3, it worked very good. -Just enough drag - compensate with adding throttle. That said...

AKNick, do you (or anyone else here) use the "Crow" function (Flaps down+ Ailerons pointing up)? I added this function and found it to make the STOL landing profile greatly improved. I find the plane coming down a lot more controled than with just the flap. -Though I realize that the function...

Re the Tygon.. yes, thats a good point and replace it with silicon. But it works fine for the few flights I've had with it like this. Its not finalized design, as (for one) you point out there tube is kept on by friction only.. Solution seems to work, but doubt it will in the long run. -WIP...

A interesting modification.. the Pitts muffler cracked and came loose. Had a flex pipe laying around and installed it just for fun. -Probably the closest you get to the Harley-Davisson sound....but think it’s not to stay as the noise would make me very unpopular with the neighbors
