@AKNick - I saw earlier you suggested an alternative spring solution for the tailwheel springs using fuelhose. Cant find the drawing you attached.. Do you have it handy and do you mind to re-share it?

Good point.. I put them there to get the lead as far back as possible and thus avoid a few grams.. Think that I will see how well the tape hold on and if poor, move them under the stabs and add a few grams... Have to add: I am trilled to able to fly it from the back of my house, just as I...

The make is unknown.. found it in the “box”. The holder is a AKNick’s design. Works great! (note that I had to add weight to it to balance the 56cc out)

Maiden-day!! 25min of flying... 10 smoooth landings with and without full flaps!! Amazing aircraft. Flies like a trainer and no issues with the RCGF56cc motor (actually impressed with how smooth it runs!!) --absolutely love this aircraft!!

indeed; As long as takeoff = landings everything is ok!! Regards ground running.. aiii, that’s well noted! Will not run it that long on the ground again. It does run very well up til this point, so nI problem to take your word here. The motor and Pitts pipe get plenty of cooling as I had to...

1 sec "Maiden" here!! -Where testing the engine and some other adjustment in quite strong wind and when pointing the nose into the wind and adding some throttle the plane suddenly liftet off... quite undramatic and while pilot struck with fear, it hovered down again quite nicely. Two issues...

Actually, not sure what tire it is. Its one I found "in the box" that seems to fit relatively ok. Will use ball links, good idea -make sense due to the extra torque... Yes, the 3D printing is not as straight forward as one may think. Thankfully I have others that will take the technique to...

May not be the best pic.. need to do some mod's with the springs, but have not had time to figure it out yet.. (New to printing...so still some tuning to make the finish perfect)

@AKNick, installed the tailwheel you uploaded to Thingiverse !! Looks great.. Got to modify the spring steering cables to a system similar to yours. -now the maiden next. Unfortuntly, weather just turned **** over here, but as soon as the WX improves, it will get airborne.

Wild man, Good point, seems like all 3-blade props got a pitch at -10 or -12? if I spin a 22x8 now, the logic choose would be 21x7 right or am I mistaken here?

Maybe this is a little on the crazy side, but I am tempted to give these a shot... 20x14 seems to be nice to go STOL, but 21x10 may be an conservative start? (FYI: I'll use a 2-blade 22X8 while getting used to the aircraft... this is the recommended break-in propeller as well.)

Hi, thinking ground clearance, so like to have as small diameter prop as practically possible... (and not "just" make noice and airplane not moving..)

By the way.. now that I got it "swinging".. :) --Is it possible/recommendable to swing a 21x8 or even 20" propeller on a 56cc motor?

Had my first ground run today!! Can’t wait to fly it... handstarted very easily so don’t think I’m making a lot of fuzz about the spinner.. Maiden next week, I hope

Hi, Thanks gents, yes I use a starter so guess it rule out the carbon option.. The RCGF56 have the 4-screw fastening. Will have a look for the Falcon and True-turn spinners. Another thing; Found several cheap options but using wooden propellers mean that the center body of the prop is to...

Hi, May be a obvious answer to this, but where (what brand/shop) do you get hold of a suitable 3in Spinner for a gas engine?
