Just figured out why the nose cone separates o_O.......So I can shove a pitot tube in it :big-grin:. Now all I will have to do is figure how to shove the TM1000 in...

I have also heard that you can "Zap" them with a short 2 or 3 minute charge on a NiCd setting and then they will charge normally on the appropriate setting. But my real curiosity is about these new HV (high voltage) LiPo's. I understand they need a new charge cycle different from the standard...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

It is actually 35-40cc. But I'm going to run a 50cc on it. Was flying it with a worn out DL50 (the one I rebuilt and flew on the Alien) and will again install the rebuilt engine with canister on it. Should have "Foamy" like 3D performance at 15 pounds. Will get some pics for the "workshop" ;)...

Well......The door bell rang about 10am and when I went to see who it was no one was there!? How do those guys drop off such a big box and vanish before you can say "Who is it" ?

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Been getting out early evenings and flying the foam junk to keep the rust at bay. The sticker on the tail :) is accurate of my expression when my foam junk goes "wheels up". Just for giggles I put a 4S 2800 pack in and had an 8 minute blast :big-grin:

I have an I/R meter built in to the multi meter I have. Don't use it much because it will only read a 2S pack ( or 7.4 volts). I need to make an adaptor for 3S and higher packs that will limit voltage to 7.4 volts. The I/R is accumulative across all cells but read across the first cell in the...

lol.....Have 4 cycles on each batt. They stay a bit warm after a flight but not hot. I should bring my infrared gun and see what the temp is. Just holding the pack feels like very warm water to the hand so 110 degrees or so. I just cruised around my last flight and had three HS bursts (touch and...

My back side was to it (was putting left wing panel in back seat) when it happened. Did not see it but heard the crisp "snap" as the wind picked up :ooh?:. Very fortunate to only have the right wing panel damaged. It took the whole brunt of the tip over.

Thank you. You as well with your pattern ship. Mine however has some "wrinkles" now just like me :ugh:. I may take some sand paper and filler to the surface and repaint but it really does not look that bad and the important thing is I got the airfoil shape back the way it was. And yes it's the...

LOL yes we do all have "those moments" Paul. Just "Had" to go fly my new jet In between some scattered t-storms. Had a blast watching it zip around the darkened sky with all the lights it has. Even started doing touch and goes with it. I felt like a 12 year old boy again with a new toy :) until...

That's what I would do. I would even sell off something to make it happen If that's what it took. GOT to have the SOUND in a big war bird. That way all the major senses are "properly" stimulated :big-grin:. And if a "non military" scheme does strike your fancy the "Rockwell International"...
