WE ALL NEED TO ACT TO SAVE THE HOBBY

I will not have a specific drone day at our club. We have a few pilots that fly multi-rotors but, the novelty wore off about as fast as it picked up.

    piston ring replacement

Typical bowman rings, from my experiences, will have a 3 to 4 thousandths end gap. The standard dle end gap, at least on my 170 is almost 15 thousandths! Wish I could find someone with some bowman rings for the 170 that wasn't going to use them :)

    Hello From Houston, Tx

Welcome to GSN. An awesome place to just hang out and chill. A great vibe and pretty decent IMAC following. As @Krzy4RC said, there is a contest in El Dorado, AR this weekend if you are up for a road trip :)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I have been an Airtronics fan for many years and still like them. I just ran out of channels with the SD-10GS. I went in at the entry level DS-14 Jeti because I didn't need all the bells and whistles of the DS-16. The 14 is $795 from Espritmodel.com and came with a free case, nice one at that...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I received the Dual Path add on for the DS-14 yesterday so, I installed the 2nd rx in the 330LX and got everything bound through the CB200. Took longer to make the extension for remotely locating the rx than it did to actually make it work. I am loving the Jeti more and more all the time :)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I managed to get the rudder and left wing servos matched with the Jeti last night. Then I retourqued the cylinder and case bolts as instructed by Ken Crane. I also added a single washer under the left side of the engine to help offset the pull to the right on uplines. I Hve never had to add...

On the 330LX the cg is center of the tube so I figured what better way to nuetralize the effects of the fuel level than by putting the tank directly over the cg :-)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I worked some more on getting the 330 switched over to the Jeti. Seeing as how I am not running a hv setup, I still need my electronic switch between the batteries and the regulators, bummer. I had the other magnetic switch nicely concealed but now it will be replaced by a remote switch for...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Looks like I didn't get the order in soon enough so, now I am waiting until Monday for the module to be delivered. So far this is the only issue I have with the DS-14. A person would think that with the technology of the Jeti radios, that they would have the module building automated.

I worked on changing connectors on my Sahara regulators to mpx connectors for the Jeti Central Box 200. Got one done nd then updated the firmware on the CB and bound one of the rx's and ordered the dual rx module for the ds-14. I hope I got the order in soon enough to get it delivered today.

    Pilot RC 107" Extra 330SC

That sucks :( That is why I put the choke on a switch that I have to physically move my hands from the controls in order to activate it. I used to worry about that all the time when I first started using a choke servo.

    Pilot RC 107" Extra 330SC

I am using a GP to DA header adapter from @Planebender. The DA headers came with the RE3's I bought and I tried to sell them but, I guess they didn't sell for a reason :)

    Pilot RC 107" Extra 330SC

I have been using a GP-176EVO for the last month or so which replaced a DLE-170 because I took out a cylinder and jug, and all I have to say is WOW! It fires up on the 3rd to 5th flip with choke and then 3rd to 4th flip with choke off and runs beautifully. I can't believe how smooth it is at an...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Company is nice but, I enjoy it a lot more when nobody is there because it gives me more time to practice :) BTW, when I go to the field I have one thing on my mind, flying :) I have friends that have some beautiful planes and never get around to flying them because they get there and talk the...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I would have loved to have been flying this weekend but, I was sicker than all get out. What really sucks is that I have a new JETI DS-14 and bunches of components to put in planes but, didn't really feel up to it. I did manage to get the rx installed in the Assassin and took it out for a bit...
