Mark the center of the tube and then mark on the tube where it would exit the fuse so you know how much would go into the wing as is. Just lay it on top and take a pic.

How about some pics of where the wing tube is stopping at.

Yeah have the firebrick liner is what makes them so nice as once it’s hot it will maintain its heat. Snoopy if your just looking to try out smoking then I recommend what I did. Told me wife I wanted an electric smoker for Christmas and only to get me a cheap one. I think she paid $85 at...

Lol. Yeah and those big green eggs are anything but cheap. I have been pan frying my steaks for the last few years now and my wife has said she will never go out to eat again just to get a steak.

Yeah currently I just have a small electric smoker my wife got me for Christmas. It was really one of those i don’t want to spend a ton of money and then not use or enjoy the process so a cheap one was perfect. I think she paid like $85 for it. This is only my third time using it but so far I’m...

HAHAHA I reckon I meant the new bumpers are clean. The truck is in serious need of a bath and more importantly paint. It’s currently blue with a red drivers door and charcoal grey camper shell. Needless to say I never have trouble finding my truck in the parking lot.

All done. No pics of the front as the original wasn’t in horrible shape but needed to be replaced. Twisted steel clean fresh start. Got lucky and found a nice hitch as well was a little bit of a pain as it’s a universal one so I had to drill all new holes but worth it nice and clean.

Went to the you pick scrap yard today as I still needed to fix my truck from when I was rear ended back in August. Found a front bumper, rear bumper, and trailer hitch all for $170 and I can take the junk bumpers back for a $15 credit so I’m calling that a win. Maybe I will even get it painted...

This should be fun to try out but not sure when. At work they where going to throw out a nice magnetic sign. On the other side is work stuff but this side is nice and clean. Might I also mention it’s dead flat and 3’x4’ so it will be perfect on smaller builds to try out building with magnets.

Just one quick cell phone video of my buddy making some passes after I maidened it. It’s fun. I need new batts though. Power was kind of lacking on 4S then when I switched over to 3S still using the 4S prop the power was almost the same as 4S but my 4S packs are probably 4 years old and haven’t...

Valid point and I reckon I could see how it flys without the stabilization using one of my 6 channel frsky receivers and if I feel it needs it then I can get one of the frsky SR8 receivers that has 3 axis stabilization built in and only cost $33 bucks.

She’s headed out to fly later today. Pretty sure I will be moving it over to my taranis in the near future though. With the stock six channel receiver the ailerons have to be on a y harness to be able to mix the flaps into full span ailerons thus limiting the amount of mixes I can do to it...

Got the Timber X operational this morning. Decided to set the wing aside and plug extra servos into the rx. As soon as I did both of them worked. Grabbed my servo tester and low and behold both extensions I tried yesterday where dead. What are the chances of that.

Yes I plan to check my p mix when I get home to verify. The one thing I find interesting is it only tells you to create one p mix for the flaps. Would have thought it would need two but my buddy that has the plane says his works perfectly with only the one.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Yeah on the timber x it can be setup with the flaps on a y and the ailerons on a y to function normally or you remove the y from the flaps so they can be mixed to the ailerons to give full span ailerons. I currently have it setup as one aileron channel and two flap channels. Like I said...
