    Yippee! What the postman brought

Oh yeah the little profile is getting finished. Should be working on it again this weekend. What size plane is that Gaui on? The nieuport I got is 1/4 scale so most are powered with zenoha g23’s. A 50 might be a bit much.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Ok I can’t help myself. Rolled the plans out to have a look (also rolled back up, gotta finish other stuff first) looked through the wood and all looks good and figure I will go ahead a read the manual to get a idea of things. Two things. On I feel a good four stroke gas engine would be cool on...

Also running the X9D+. For sure run OpenTX as it’s great being able to share plane files with others or having someone look something over you can’t quite figure out. If you would like I can send over some of my files for you to look at and get the idea of how things work. Since your getting...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Very nice. Do a build thread as I would love to learn more about stits and painting since I just picked up a Balsa USA 1/4 scale Nieuport 17 kit to build at some point.

3D Edge 540 Profile Build (Glitter JR)

Couple of quick bits today. Servo mounts for the wing. You will need to grab these ply pieces. For these you have to grab a file and file the edges square or that won’t fit tightly. Then just go to the outside of R2. Butt it up to the back of the spare and even with the top of the rib. Tack it...

3D Edge 540 Profile Build (Glitter JR)

Ok step one once spar and center section are laid out. From the main spar to the le of the wing needs to be the exact width of the motor mount so I like to just slip the mount down in it until things start getting glued. Lay all your ribs out, make sure they line up with the plans, and that...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Not worth imo. I have a set at work that is just the standard Allen wrench’s with the holding part on them. It doesn’t take long for the little spring clip on them to break or fall off.

I have the exact same set in sae and metric. They are great.

3D Edge 540 Profile Build (Glitter JR)

Ok first let’s back track a second. Don’t won’t go forget this step as I have before and it’s a pain to correct once the wing is built. On a profile your receiver will be in the wing so you will need a way for one aileron servo lead to get to the other wing. Just use a dremel tool to grind down...

3D Edge 540 Profile Build (Glitter JR)

As you can see I have built quite a few of these and I think at least a dozen have been scratch built by others on the probro site. Needless to say the Ugly one was the one that was ever mine. All others where sent away and even the prototype I gave to a buddy at NASHBRO a couple years ago. It...
