While I must admit that looks really good I have to ask the question. Is it really a P-40 without the shark teeth on the nose????? LOL

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Go to any machine shop or local welding shop and I'm sure they will have scraps or could get you what you need and cut them to length for a fair price. I love building with weights but I'm much like snoopy in I have access to that stuff where I work and can ask for scraps from time to time.

@Snoopy1 we enjoy all the building and you will never by me at least be accused of sharing to much. Keep the pics coming as I’m enjoying it.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Step one I lined up the hinge lines between the old and new stabs and then taped them together. Seeing as the hinge line on this plane needs to be right at the back of the stab mount and the TE of the elevator almost brushed the rudder when it moves is why I did this. Step two. Found the...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Close. Had it in the passenger seat of the truck. My Mountain Dew fell in the floor when I went around a curve. Reached down to grab it and the sleeve of my jacket caught it and bent it in half. It’s repairable and I will fix it as a spare but I was rather pissed about it.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Postman brought me a replacement stab for my 1M DLG to replace the one in the first picture that I folded in half by mistake loading it in the truck.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

This is very true. A quality chisel made with good steel though holds that edge a lot longer.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I know the feeling. Don’t own any rasp but was so excited the day I finally got a set of quality wood chisels.

All of my small profiles have been that way. Stuff it in the hatch under everything and forget about it. Never a problem both when running Futaba and now running FrSky.

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

No flying for me. I went racing instead. Man it’s a ton of fun and a ton of work on a road course compared to a drag strip.

Not all of us go through five gallons quick enough to justify mixing an entire five gallons. Wish I did though. Lol.

Krill 39% Ultimate 300KS Assembly And Paint

Looks nice but I have never understood manufactures doing wing or stab bolts like that. As much as is spent on a plane like this to me it could be done better. So my vote is to countersink them.

Been slinging paint half the day. Dining room is done and now we get to move on to the foyer which is freaking 20’ tall and the walls and ceiling all need paint.
