    Plus..it's very fiddly to fix. The recommended way makes it impossible to fit the cowl. So I had to flip it round.. and do a few mods on the motor mount to allow it to fit round the carb, Also, the worm gear on the motor shaft wasn't great quality... not so much the gear as the small grub screw...

    Update...(bad news!) Went out to fly yesterday and engine started but only reached 3600 rpm. So, cowl off and while one cylinder is hot, the other is warm. Tested both plugs one each lead and found that the ceramic on one plug had cracked (NGKs) ... so great,,,, put the good one back ...

    Great to see that it flew OK (ish).. my pal Nigel had issues with the landing gear as well (mine didn't have a UC and I put an old carbon fibre one on. It was way to far back for the COG, so he moved it a few inches forward. The mounting for the UC is also very weak for a plane of this size...

    I tried again just now. I first removed the plugs to make sure I was getting a spark (I am!). I then closed both needles and opened them (HI=2.25 and Low=2.5). I tried starting it but nothing.     Here is a sketch of my calculations...note..it's not to scale but the measurements are ! THE MAC turns out top be 429mm, and 33% of this is 143mm (surprisingly what the manual says it should be). How, should the COG be this distance back from the LE of the wing at root or from the LE at MAC?
