Overall, there were 7 pilots flying in the Flying Tigers Imac Challenge 2016 contest. In no particular order they were: Charles Cooke, Greg Dial, Jeff Buchner, Kevin Schmidt, Mark Thurman, Tom Burndrett Sr and Vicente Bortone. These pilots flew a grand total of 140 judged sequences.


Jeff Buchner won the Basic class. There were 3 pilots in Basic. The winning order was: (1) Jeff Buchner, (2) Charles Cooke and (3) Kevin Schmidt. They flew 9 known sequences (5 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 6,578.7 to a high of 7,500 (a range of 921.3 points).


Greg Dial won the Intermediate class. There were 3 pilots in Intermediate. The winning order was: (1) Greg Dial, (2) Vicente Bortone and (3) Mark Thurman. The tightest competition was for 1st place in the Basic class, with only 153.786 points difference between Jeff Buchner and Charles Cooke.

I am on the waiting list and may be close enough to the top to get pulled in Saturday morning. I am only concerned because I have never flown 2 flight lines before.

Looks like everyone had a great time and brought out some nice planes. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I'll get mine if the air and start practicing one of these days.
