Redwing 50cc Yak

There is a lot of buzz going around the new Redwing RC 50cc Yak... I might have to snag one when I get back from my work trip overseas. I've been closely following their design and build, and also the feedback from customers. They seem to fly really well.

Tom Hintz did an excellent 3 part build log here:

and of course the Maiden:

Joe Smith also has one he's been having fun with:

Now I'll be honest and admit that the color scheme isn't my favorite. I'm much more partial to less complex schemes with cool lines... like the new 30cc Yak looks really good to me:

Either way, the 50cc Yak looks like another awesome flying Redwing airplane!

I've really been looking hard at redwing planes. Trying to figure out which one to put my vv40cc in when my extra falls apart. Any experience with the 30cc planes? Not really a yak guy, more the Extra or Slick type.

I have the MXS-Bach being delivered on Wednesday...been looking for over a year for a home for my DLE 40 twin that would not need to cut the cowl up...really wanted the Red one...but out of stock...so got the last "ghost" one they had...will figure a colorful trim scheme for the all white airframe...

I fly with Joe a lot and have been watching him fly the 100cc Extra prototype...man that is a BIG 100cc plane...the ailerons, elevators and rudder are larger than the one on my 43% PAU Extra!

Really like the look of the soon to be released 30cc Yak...but won't fit the 40 Twin...

@Greg Alderman how did the mxsbach turn out? I can't wait to build mine this summer!

I have the 30cc Yak-55, it has been a very good plane and is very stable in flight. Had my friend wring it out and it did everything he could do without any bad habits.--Smitty

Smitty, glad you're enjoying yours. I'm very tempted to get that Yak one of these days.
I built an MXSBach over the summer, and really love it. So beautiful in the sky!
