Replacing bearings in your motors

Hi everyone, I saw this video recently, and thought it provided some excellent how-to instruction for people to change out the bearings in their motors. (credit and thanks to BocaBearings for making the video)

If anyone else has any good info, videos, or advice on this topic, please post it!

Personally I'd never tap new bearings in with a hammer, especially using the shaft collet as this puts pressure on the inner race, it seriously risks causing damage to the bearing races. I press them in, often you can do it with finger pressure but there they are tight you can press then using the jaws of a vice. Use a socket or similar to make sure you press only on the outer race, again to avoid damaging the races.

I'm also puzzled as to why he removed the shaft from the rotor, there is no need to do that:confused:

Anyway, I guess those Boca guys make bearings so they should know how to treat them, but having damaged bearings by tapping them on the inner race in the past this video is closer to how I like to do it (I use a vice in place of a press)
