In the old days we strengthened joints by fiberglass cloth with thinned out epoxy. The cloth comes in several weights and is available at your LHS or a boat store...

First of all wear rubber cloves... cut to size and lay the cloth over the joint. Mix epoxy (30 minutes or longer for best result) in the usual way and add Isopropyl alcohol drops until the epoxy becomes soupy like consistency. Brush the wood joints, lay the cloth over it and let the epoxy mix ooze through the cloth as you rub the cloth smooth into the epoxy mix. Remove any extra epoxy (or add if needed). Any extra epoxy that got on other places can be cleaned up with the alcohol. Let it dry overnight before moving to the next step.

do you know of a good place to buy that glass cloth online? I live way far away in the sticks and im sure the hobbyshop that's over a hr drive does not have it. I would just google it but im not exactly sure what im looking for
