Need some advice on a new 30cc 3D plane.

The Jtec is roughly the same dimensions as the stock muffler and an oz or two lighter. It's $99 on their site right now, I bought the standard size.

The 30cc size tends toward being a little underpowered with gas so having that extra 650+ rpm and swinging a bigger prop will making learning 3d way easier.

I'm not the first to mention this, but look for upright harrier in videos you watch. They'll all do knife edge spins and blenders etc...not all of them are stable in upright harrier and that's a fundamental maneuver for learning 3d.

LOTS of guy's run a DA50 in that plane....perfect combo. Skip the 30cc stuff, buy a 50 and partake in some of the newer 79" planes and have more bang for the same buck.

I've been told the same lately. Might as well just skip up to a 50cc size.

Pretty sure that will be my next plane (50cc) honestly not that much bigger and I am basically putting 50cc gear in my 35cc airframes... however, you would save a few hundred using a smaller engine and lighter servos... so not exactly the same buck. The 35cc birds fly pretty good though, and are a little easier to haul around in a smaller vehicle. I would like to get rid of my nitro birds and put that towards a 50cc

I agree with all of you guys I have 50cc ARS from AJ on the way and will be enjoying that soon, but I still, have a 33cc OS GT on the bench and it runs very well. Would like to Buy a plane for it, have most of the gear. Nobody in our club flys any 3D planes it is 95% small electric stuff so there is not much to look at or compare to. There is one fellow that flies 3D but is not at the field very often and only flies 40% stuff and larger. So all my info and help comes from you gentlemen on GiantScaleNews.

Spoke to him at Toledo and after spending some looking at the plane and talking to him I was sold. Discussed with him how to get one. It is on the water on its way. Great design and a very nice person to talk to and deal with. And from what I have read about the plane.

I currently am flying the AJ Laser DA-35, the 3DHS Edge 540 DA-35, and the 3DHS slick with the OS33gt.

First let me say they are all great planes. The Laser is more precise and flies big. The 3dhs Edge overpowered and is more fun.

However, I fly the Slick more than any of them. Given the choice it is what I want to take to the field. The Laser is nice but the Slick with the os33gt is light and a bit on edge. It will flat spin and tumble better than any of the other planes is comfortable down low and is just a blast to fly. Small enough to be a rush to fly with the os33gt. Great combo.

Thanks for that. Will have a look at slick 71.

I really like my ef 74" edge. Flies amazing on my da35. I think the os33 would be a blast on that plane.
