Nicely done will be ready to fly soon.
I opened the top two hatches and the one side hatch, can not see the bolts that hold the aluminum angle in. I do not know to get to then to check see if they are ok. Do I have to cut open the fuselage or just hope for the best.

Look in the tunnel. This pic is with the plane upside down.

Not much time to play with the Timber rebuild, but I did manage to install the gear again. Treated the rubber after a nice soapy bath.

I previously had poked a vent line hole in the lower fuselage, this time I turned on the laser cutter and made a ring retainer.

Started tinkering with the rudder. Started with an epoxy bond using some paint sticks to keep it aligned as best I could. Then found some balsa sticks to stitch it back together. Going to add some reinforcements and then sand and cover.

That’s a tough one to fix and at the same time make it strong and clean. One thing I would look into is a carbon down the trailing edge, sand a clove and glue it in.

I’m feeling pretty good about it. The break was just above the hinge but canted enough to make a decent splice there. The aft webbing is comprised of four different sheets at different bond points. If anything I’ll be putting in some splices and gussets.

Recovering complete!! How awesome is that!?
This blue really disappears in itself, meaning the seam lines are seamless. I cheated a lot with my otter build…. Yeah I need to finish that too…

Just need to remount the motor.
But since it’s off, Ive got a carb rebuild kit in the mail that should be here this next week. Gotta say this DLE55RA hasn’t skipped a beat, a good running motor!
