    Futaba 16sz

I have too much invested in Futaba to make a switch. Never been a Spectrum liker but I got to fondle a DX20 and must say I love the aluminum gimbals. Wish Futaba would go old school and invest some real time and engineering into a set of CNC aluminum gimbals like Jeti, JR and now even...

    Futaba 16sz

Actually the 16Sz is more like the 14sg with a touch screen. Internals of both:

    Futaba 16sz

I have the 14SG and have played with the 16 and the 18 radios. The 14 supports all the modes I can think of FASSTest, FASST and S-FHSS. The 16 is much easier to program with the touch screen. I had to buy a book for my 14 it has a steep learning curve. Other than that the 16 is the same...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Nice flying. The plane suits you well.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I look at the tail. It is like balancing a broom, easier to do in close. I have tried others advice and switch to looking at the nose when doing it belly in. It helps but I cannot say I have found a solution that works consistently when doing belly in.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Mine has no sheeting on stab and no tri stock on top or bottom. Has not been a problem yet. If you do not want to spoil your covering pattern you may be ok just on bottom depends on construction and how you fly.

I was being sarcastic. That rudder is "Primo" sized.

    Needs more rudder.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I know what you mean. My 6.25 lb Mojo 60 with 120AX on Beer can pipe is sensitive on throttle and insane power. While it was fun for a while I do not seem to fly it much anymore. Wish I would have put the DLE20 on it. I have flown this combo and it is much more tractable and user friendly.

Or just build a Mojo or Primo 60 and run the DLE 20 on it. 6 1/4 - 7 lbs, still floaty and a blast under power. They both are more fun and a better combo for a 20cc anyway. :)

Looks nice. I chose a similar scheme for my 20cc Sbach.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Wow. What a build. What a nice plane. Hard to believe it could be tail heavy with that nose. Looks fast sitting on the ground.

Move everything as far forward as possible per pictures in previous posts. One thing not shown on mine or elsewhere is moving the rear servos forward. I did this on my Primo's but since the Mojo 65 was already built I missed the chance to move them forward one bay vs the plans.

This weekend looks windy also. I may go flying, just have to keep an eye on these storms and wind for an opening. Going through withdrawals due to work and weather have not flown for weeks. Don't rush a maiden.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Just put mine together and checked. Mine balances at just past 7 1/2" back now. It was probably around 7 3/4" back with the DLE20. It never felt tail heavy with either.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Move the engine as far forward as possible (looks like you can make the front bolt hole the rear bolt hole). Better yet install a OS GT22 like I ended up doing it made a big difference in power (with a ported WWRC muffler), weights slightly more and winds up quicker than the dle20. If you...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

A couple suggestions: Before covering the fuse you might want to make provisions (plywood plate) for mounting your fuel tank to. Savox servo boxes make great places to mount / hide ignition, IBEC ignition cutoff and ignition light.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

+1 My Mojo 65 has 5 pin hinges on each side. I would do 6 flat hinges.
