    jeti DS 16 thread

I went from the 12x to the XG11, and now to the Jeti. So far I'm happy with the choice. Programming while initially looking overly complicated when just reading the manuals turns out to be not too bad. Menus are obviously arranged differently and functions have different names but JR is way...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Yep Ultra Sports, the new ARF that just came out, mine has a YS FZ80 in it and yesterday it was finally breaking in and really started haulin, I have almost a gallon through it now. We flew all day and they handled the wind great, we had some really blustery conditions. The glow stuff is still...

    jeti DS 16 thread

Flew the Jeti today, flew great no issues. I didn't notice the weight at all, didn't think about it once so I guess I won't be using the neck strap. Did have an issue with the timer, didn't realize I needed to tell it to beep when the time expires! Got that fixed and flew maybe 7 flights...

    jeti DS 16 thread

Well after 12 long days I finally got my hands on a Jeti. Initial impressions are DAMN, this thing is nice. Surprisingly comfortable in my hands, it is heavy, heavier than my 12x was for sure. Build quality looks second to none. I was kind of suprised on the yellow color however. I was...

    SOLD! JR XG11 Transmitter

JR XG11 Included is what you see in the pictures, the transmitter, stock charger, the original box and manual, and the stickers that come with if you want to configure it for heli. Selling to fund a new Transmitter, this thing has worked flawless for me the entire time I've owned it. I'm the...

    jeti DS 16 thread

Has anybody used LUA? I see there is separate versions of firmware with and without lua, would there be a reason not to install the lua firmware?

    jeti DS 16 thread

Oh I didn't think of bending the pins, great idea I will try that. I didn't realize the receivers came with the multiplex plug for the battery side so I have 6 extra now, good in case I melt one. Tech-Aero IBEC came today so I got that all mounted up.

    jeti DS 16 thread

Thanks guys, I'm taking the opportunity to go through my 35% and do some updating. Needs a carb kit I think, I'm removing the ignition battery and switch and installing and IBEC, a wheel pant needs a little attention.. I'm looking at mounting the CB200 in the plane and my batteries have EC3...

    News Great Planes dealers beware

Sometimes I wonder if they post limited pics to prevent their product from being ripped off.

    jeti DS 16 thread

Well, I did it, I ordered my DS-16 last Friday, I'm so excited. Toughest part was figuring out what color I wanted but the kids voted and I ended up getting the yellow carbon. I got it with the free 7ch RX which will go in my Ultra Sport. I also ordered the CB200 for my 35% extra with the...

Flying with a Jeti Radio shout out

I'm thinking I'm going to go this route. Been on the fence now for about a year. I really started looking at the Futaba 18SZ, but the receiver selection is pretty dismal. Then comparing the capabilities to the DS-16.... I'm back to looking at Jeti. They have a test-drive program on the...

    Hangar 9 60cc Corsair Build

Well, until just recently it was constantly raining here, then my friend distracted me and we both ended up buying a pair of Ultra Sport .46's. I know a slimer!!.. for some reason we both thought it would be fun to do some old school nitro flying. Since my time is pretty limited I haven't...

    Hangar 9 60cc Corsair Build

Well no work on the Corsair this weekend, weather was too nice and no kids sports were scheduled Saturday so I went flying. It was maybe 75 degrees and 5 mph winds, pretty nice day! Today was kids soccer.... I did hit the ignition tray with some flat black paint on Friday though.

    Hangar 9 60cc Corsair Build

Well we had two lacrosse games an hour and a half from home today. After I got home I got some quality dremel time in! I sanded down the corners of the motorbox on the fuse to match the Keleo motorbox so it clears the exhaust ring. Then I copied Tom's ignition install, well kinda. I made a...

    Hangar 9 60cc Corsair Build

Yep I plan on doing the same thing you did for the ignition. What did you use on the valve covers? I'm pretty sure I'll need to do the same. Bench grinder?

    Hangar 9 60cc Corsair Build

Spent some time on the plane today, started getting ready to run the engine on the stand. I epoxied in the motor box into the fuse and then went to mount the exhaust ring which I expected to be a chore. I installed the adapters on the cylinders and then the ring went on pretty easily. I had...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Spent about 4 hours just cleaning stuff up and reorganizing, sometimes I just get started and the next thing I know 4 hours have gone by. It's kinda therapeutic I guess....
