    Its All in the timing. I use the rudder to go straight and up/down elevator to steer and also to maintain high alpha. It just takes lots of practice!

    Engine Running -> Wings On / Wings Off?

    I always run with wings on and pluged in for ignition functionality with all servos drawing amps. Make sure you have the canopy on and secure as well!
