    One thought I had was that they might be geared toward the people in the area they are being held and make sure it is known that all skill levels are invited and encouraged to attend.

    100% agree. The first year I attended I didn't even fly. 2nd year I flew when no one else was up(which was rare). 3rd year I jumped right in and loved it. The best part of the events is getting together with people who have a common interest. Just make them fun. Hopefully have locations...
