Scale Bud Nosen 1/4 Scale Cub?

Thanks David, I sure will get with you if I need some mill work. I appreciate that! We also get idiots on our roads. Usually from out of state. I don't think they have the common sense to slow down and take cruise control off. They cause a lot of accidents in my area, even some fatalities.

Scale Bud Nosen 1/4 Scale Cub?

Well, we've got snow. Build season has arived in the North West. I've been keeping an eye out for some PR Cub gear struts and have had no luck, so I decided to give building my own a shot. I downloaded an image from the larger Hanger 9 gear and don't think it will be too tricky. I ordered up...

Last weekend we had our Fall Salmon Fun Fly. I was able to test out the U Can upgrades and they are working out great. Also got a few flights on the Osprey. It was a great weekend.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Hey Tony, I've replaced Robart hinges before. What I do is cut them loose at the hinge line, you only have to do one side, then the pin will come out. Then I grind them flat against the surface. Next is to use a similar size soldering iron to melt the hing out. You can use a drill bit to clean...

Hey Mike, Double check the wing electrical connections by giving the wing a wiggle before each flight. A friend of mine has one, and they are intermitten at times. Congrats on the Win!!

This one had to have at least one other owner to be built. But the company I work for pretty much owns it now. It’s been a good facility over the years. I’m pretty much the guy that has to keep everything running as well.

That pic wasn't at the plant. The one I run has two 4.8 MW units and runs all year, on a river that freezes up. Keeping it going through the coldest months can be tough! Feb. 2023 I'll have 30 years in. I also took part in the construction of it back in 93.

Not my own shop, but I did start cleaning up an old LeBlond 17" lathe I'm going to get to use whenever I need. Just need to find some tool holders for it and learn how to grind HHS better. Hey David, you don't have some old Armstron style tool holders in junk box some where do you??

I picked up a free treadmill a while back and pulled the motor for upgrading my lathe. Last night I decided to do a little work on the motor in preparation for the transplant. I pulled the flywheel off. Then the motor face cap, which had very large skirt that needed to come off. I was able to...

New Product Strick Pro Grip Radio Trays and Harnesses

As I get older and shake a bit more, especially if I drink too much coffee in the morning, I find a tray helps from time to time. I've also learned to go from thumbs to pinch method if I get nervous. Makes landings much easier, especially with heli's.
