    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

They are not to replace the 7245mh as they are already one of the best out there. they are for the 48'' planes and will replace the HS-65mg.

    Lipo Battery Charging

Fast charging is never a great idea, it cooks the packs and will shorten their lifespan.

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

I would consider one of the 56'' lasers next year to replace my 51 slick. So long as it would be fine with the motrolfly I have in it and flys good. And the quality and CS is good. I am going to give AJ aircraft a year or so before I buy from them, do not want to be a guinea pig LOL.

    Fluttering Digital Servo's

I have been the same way, they never flutter in the air so I just ignored them chattering and moving a bit on the ground. But I know a few older people I fly with who have never used digitals before think there brand new servos were broke LOL.

    Fluttering Digital Servo's

Vary good info. As you know, I was always told there was no way to get the servo to stop fluttering, and this was just "normal digital servo function". I always just left it at that, thinking there was nothing else I could do. And since they never jittered in the air I never thought much more...

Some supply guidance on starting into balsa plane(s)

Most of the time you will not be repairing something that can be clamped. And that is why I love thin CA and Epoxy LOL. And sometimes I will put gorilla glue around my wing tube assembly for added strength.

Some supply guidance on starting into balsa plane(s)

Wood glue it typically not strong enough. I highly recommend thin CA for all wood repairs with balsa. or Epoxy for gluing ply wood.

Some supply guidance on starting into balsa plane(s)

All you really need is a micro fiber cloth to clean it with. Eagle 1 wax as you dry. That will take care of cleaning. then you want a good covering iron, and a hobby grade heat gun to take out wrinkles if you want to. I just leave them alone most of the time. Other than that it is just the same...

You will like the 7245Mh servo. Real precise servo, and vary strong.

Its building time though, so not all is lost LOL. Planning on ordering an EF 60'' Laser next week. The Polar Vortex strike 3 is expected to move out sometime around mid March, with temps returning to 40 degrees. I think you will enjoy the extra, what servos did you end up going with?

At least all you have to wait for is a little rain. i have to wait another month for the Polar Vortex to go away and everything thaw out and dry up. It was a high of 18F degrees today and well below zero now.

Really no need to balance, just slap the pack over the LG and fly it. Then adjust it until it meets you fancy LOL. With these modern 3D planes they have a wide CG.
