The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I really didn't like my A9's that much. (Had two of them that both had issues) Love my A9X though. Wish Hitec would come out with a 12 or 14 channel radio.:yesss:

    3D Performance Aircraft Unlimited 300SP

I really didn't get as much accomplished today as I would have liked. I started laying out the design for the cooling vents in the belly of the fuse and it actually ended up taking me most all of today. I did run a couple of errands but still, took much longer than I had hoped. I think it came...

    LOL, only in Ohio.

Tom..... He did get it for a pretty good price. I think it was just over 1K for just the airframe.

Will do BJ. That's on my "to do" list today. I have an idea in mind that I hope will be functional and still look decent. Will post photo's later.

Hey, that's a pretty cool idea. I haven't worried about adding anything extra to the shock absorber system. Since they have the rubber grommets, I usually utilize them the best way I can. I like this idea though. :way_to_go:

    3D Performance Aircraft Unlimited 300SP

Thanks David.... It is actually coming along rather quickly. Guess after you do a couple, it becomes easier (and quicker) with each one huh? The fuel tubing is actually Nitro tubing. It holds up pretty well as it withstands heat really well. Silicone tubing is what a lot of people use. Regular...

    3D Performance Aircraft Unlimited 300SP

Got a little more accomplished today after a minor set back on can mounts. I decided to go with light ply mounts rather than wait for an order for aluminum mounts. Since I needed to open up the bottom of the cowl for the front dump MTW's, I chose to open it up enough for air flow. So the need...

    MTW 75 Canister Mount

Got it handled. Twin double mounts installed in fuse and MTW 75's in place. All exhaust connections made. Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.:way_to_go:

    MTW 75 Canister Mount

Hey everyone... I need a little advice or suggestion please. Apparently the canister mounts I "thought" I had lined up for the PAU 300 are larger than what I remembered. I am in need of a canister mount for the MTW 75 canisters. The cans measure about 2-3/4" in diameter. The can tunnel in the...

    3D Performance Aircraft Unlimited 300SP

Spent most of the late afternoon and evening working on the 300. Motor is now permanently mounted, ignition placed and strapped in, all fuse wiring done, Fuel dot and Ign. LED installed along with Smart-Fly Pin and Flag Fail Safe Switch. About the only thing left on the fuse is to install the...
