    Needed to drill holes in 1/4" rod, found out real quick I needed a vice. EBay and $20 I have a vice. Probably need a cross slide vice but I got the holes drilled.

    A closer look at this bracket. Somehow I have to clamp it square while it is heated red hot for silver solder.

    Enjoying an @pawnshopmike approved IPA while I consider how to solder this center bracket. Some southern rock on Pandora in the background, I am sure I will figure this out.

    I don't have a plan. But nothing is finished yet. Just a test fit as the pieces come together. Next is finishing the center cabane (now that everything is square) and before I solder the fuse brackets. The piece of wood will end up being the jig.

    This landing gear is a pain. 1 little step at a time. A few clamps, wire and boards and I have some semblance of what we recognize on a cub.

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

    Finally got around to playing with my little lathe. I cut this rod down some then i was staring at a tap and die kit and decided to thread some.
