    3D H9 1/3 Cap 232 - Blast from the past!!!

Hi Guys, It's been a while since I have posted anything. I actually got bit by the Turbine Jet bug and have barely flown the Cap or any prop plane this year. I'm writing to check if anyone has an extra canopy. I was moving it around the shop and the I dropped the turtle deck and the canopy...

    Too old to "HUCK"?

Geesh - comments like that are just plain silly, and I think there typically is something else behind it. It sounds to me like you're probably doing a great job in the air and having fun at it, and they probably don't know how to, or refuse to, say something nice... :) Having fun with our...

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

hi guys, quick update. I don't like adding decals to a new plane until after the maiden. Just a odd quirk with me. I now have about 15 flights on the model, I have had to make a slight (1/16 to 1/8) of a turn in on the L needle, and additional tweaking to the cowl cut-outs where I noticed...

Hello, I moved the CG forward slightly and I'm coming in with more power, I'm not cutting the throttle fully to land. It's helped quite a bit. Steve

    3D H9 1/3 Cap 232 - Blast from the past!!!

Hello Bartman, Awesome plane. I'm in North Caldwell, I fly at BlackDirk in Goshen. Where did you find the plane? I've been looking for spare parts for mine for about a year. Send me some pics, I'd like to see it. BTW- mine was new in box, I was the original owner from H9 but I had to put...

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

ok fellas, results are in. The changes did make a difference in the landing tendencies. I think it's a bit of a floater actually, I'm not used to that, I may just need to get used to it. I checked the engine thrust, based on comments, and I don't think it needs to be changed. Chopping the...

I followed the steps, I've flown mostly Caps and Sukhois, so I agree with the comments related to the tendencies/characteristics related to the design. I still love Caps, it's part of the allure to the model. I've flown light ones, heavy ones, some that tumbled like nothing else and others...

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

Hi Terry, Thanks for working this out. It's interesting, 6 11/16 puts me just a touch (1/8), in front of the wing tube center point. Might it be that H9 placed neutral MAC CG on the wing tube center-line? Is this common? Sorry for the ridiculous question, if it is one. ;) I'm definitely...
