    The event was held at www.weaversrcairfield.com, which is one of the best groomed sites anywhere in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

    The 2015 Columbia Aerotow is complete. It was HOT but the soaring conditions were okay. I would not say they were fantastic but all the pilots had a great time, as did I! We're looking forward to the 20145 event now.

    Just want to share this month's cover because both models on the cover were test flown at Eagle Butte. There I was able to log much time on both models as a way to give you an honest report on how the models fly in both thermal and slope lift. You can learn more at www.rc-sf.com.

    Horizon Hobby Event Coverage - Horizon AeroTow 2015

    July cover is done - WHEW! BTW, the Hangar 9 ASW 20 is an outstanding aerotow machine. I have at least three hours on mine now and I don't have one complaint. I do wish the retract was high-voltage like the servos I used, but that is my only find on this sailplane.

    Sleepy, I did not fly the Antares because I did not think the lift was strong enough for a maiden flight. I did absolutely "dot out" the Hangar 9 ASW-20 yesterday. It was a speck in the sky. Deploying full flaps gets it down from altitude too.

    Here are the two sites we'll be flying this coming weekend. The first is Eagle Butte, with Kiona second. Note that both sites have absolutely excellent landing zones, so you will not tear up your machines on landing.

    Yakima Aerotow 2015
