Got the airplane about 95% assembled and painted today, not including electronics.

The wings weigh about 162g assembled without the control horns or servo mounts. I'll see how much weight the paint added once I finish them.

One crucial detail I see a lot of people miss is that the LE of the counterbalance needs to be beveled in the same direction as the hinge line bevel so that there is no interference with the wing itself.

Works a lot smoother when this is done, no binding. No noted benefits regarding control authority or responsiveness..

I am still going to paint the nose of the fuselage, but it's mostly there. Starting to look really good!!

Paint is all done!

The yellow and blue striping is actually colored tape since I didn't feel like masking off the foam to paint any more, and I was running low on yellow paint anyways.

Tomorrow will be the final assembly- electronics, servo mounts, control horns, etc.

I feel like this might be more Brazilian themed as of now, though that was not my intentions at all..

Well I got to test fly it tonight!!!!

It's on the heavy side at 35oz, however it still feels floaty. I may remove the landing gear (or just the wheel pants, they weigh about 1.5oz total) in the future to see how it flies, but for now it'll stay on. More test flying will be done tomorrow.
