Air Force resurrects 53-year-old B-52 from desert boneyard for active duty

Discussion in 'Full Scale Discussions' started by SleepyC, Feb 24, 2015.

  1. The early models were mostly destroyed for salvage but the G and H models had the TF 33 engines and the H models have the short vertical fin and those are the ones modified and updated and in current use some of them are at Davis Monthan AFB but are not being rushed in the cutter as they are valuable for spares and refurbs.
  2. Most of the B-52s in the bone yard have been cut to pieces to comply with the START Treaty with Russia.
