Aluminum vs. Carbon Stab tube

I have a cut off tube here that came from Aeroworks that is 8 5/8" long, .035 wall and .623 diameter. It weighs .52 ounces. It's actually a stab tube made for their 150 size planes. You should be able to get close on a weight with that.

Looks like I could save off about 0.5 oz. was hoping it would be a little more.

Hi guys

As for the weigh there is a big difference especially on the big 150 size planes.
The bent issue is one other cause, I used to fly for the last 4 years my 150 size plane with an aluminum wing tube and over the years it bent to an intolerable condition what eventually made me buy a Carbon tube.
