Great running DA 170 that was used by me for my IMAC only plane. I purchased it used a few years ago so I do not know how it was broken in, but since I've owned it Stihl HP Ultra oil was used. I just sent it into DA to have new bearings installed because of age only, I wanted to make sure everything was good on it before I sold it.. I never had any issues with the engine. When I talked to DA about installing new rings I was told the RPMs were higher than their bench mark so it doesn't need them. I polished the case and tops of both pistons before sending it off to DA. There is a small threaded hole in the right cylinder cooling fin where I mounted an engine temp sensor so I could keep an eye on engine temps. Also included with the engine is another set of prop bolts, base gaskets, reed cage/carb spacer gaskets. 90MM drop headers with couplers.
