Exit Air Dam

I had not used an air dam before on my exit air, do I have this right? Seems the purpose is to create a low pressure zone to help evacuate the exit air. My tunnel is open to the engine compartment. I am not having any overheating issues just thought this the right thing to add.

it looks like it would work ok. I just use triangle stock and cover it with the same color covering. Makes a big difference in cooling performance.

I made one a couple weeks ago out of tri-stock and covered it.

I made that from thin flashing that was $0.33 at Home Depot. It was bent 90' and was 4x4x8" so real easy to size to what ever you need.
