Oh, I talked to Colton today about my motor... he says it looks broken in correctly, shows no damage from me knocking off one tip on a wood prop on that flatspin landing... and... gets 200 rpms more than a typical DA-170. :sneaky: He says the timing is right on and not to worry about blowing the motor up, it's just a little more powerful than most. :way_to_go:

Nice! I sucked at it. I could run in second with no problem, but as soon as I got in the lead that invisible hand would grab me around the throat and I'd crash.

Been busy, but got a few things done since last I posted:

1) I yanked the four elevator extensions and added 12" to them as I moved the Smart-Fly EQ-10 forward since I was so radically tail heavy.
2) I zip tied them back in place.
3) I setup the RX battery mounts in the motorbox, again because of the CG.
4) I painted the motorbox to clean it up some.
5) After dinner tonight I called Buttface ( @Tavis ) to keep me company while I spent a couple of hours covering the fuse. I'm putting it back stock as I am too tired to change the wing covering for the event. Just need to pick up a roll or orange and I'll knock it right out.
6) I went ahead and bolted on a couple of Smart-Fly digital volt meters.
