I am looking for a FG-14C (82B) 4-Stroke Gas Engine. I would prefer basically new condition however willing to accept slightly used. Anyone have one of these animals they would like to part with? How about the Glow version? I would take that also. Let me know what you have. Thanks... 71XABgjeDZL._SL1500_.jpg

This for a high wing civilian plane? Cub or something?

Replacement for the gas trainer. Love the four stroke sound.

Mmm...ok! It really is a pretty cool plane. Nav lights and smashes the scales at about 9-10 pounds. (Supposed to weigh in at about 6-7 pounds. But still hucks as well as any other 3d plane. Oh wait, this is a trainer? LOL. I redesigned the wing attachments. Instead of using rubber bands to hold the wing on, I removed the dowels in the fuse and installed hard wood blocks with bolt down blocks so the wing could be bolted on. Looks pretty cool. Love doing harrier landings in a brisk breeze. LOL.

I have always loved Saito engines. Had pretty much every one of them when I started flying in the early 90's. My favorite was the 80 and the 180. Both were just super strong and so darned dependable. I have always thought of the Saito engines being the 3w of four strokes.

If I can't find a good well taken care of used one, I will just simply part with the cash and order a new one. One way or another, the gasserized trainer is going to be Saito powered once again.

  6. I’ve said it many times. I don’t fly nitro, but if I did, it would be Saito.

I agree that Saito are great engines owned most of them but my favourite was 91 black knight. That motor was so dependable and always ran perfectly. Should never have sold it. But I had a Saito 150 man it had power but that was one big pain in the but. Hard to start threw props and was just mean.

Back in the 80's props from four strokes were constantly flying all over the flight line. It was down right hazardous.

I almost exclusively used 2 strokes over the years but had a 70 size os 4 stroke that would almost start itself. Like a good retriever it loved to work.
