Sorry to hear about your crash As far as the guy working on his motor... not sure where a better place to work on it would be. I can't really run my motors at my house. It can be annoying, but it could be you at some point. We all have to share the space and be patient... or find another place to fly I suppose.

I understand the need to tune motors and the field being the best place to do it. But it struck me as excessive the amount of time he spent doing it. He finally gave up and loaded it in his truck.

ZDZ180 POWER!! This is only the 3rd flight on the engine too, still breaking it in. Oh and the airplane weighs 46lb!

Oh man that really bites! We make people who are "tuning" to go down to the end of the field where we have a stand sitting for that very reason. Sorry for the lose but sounds like you can fix her up!

Why would you want aileron's that large? they increase drag and cause weird adverse yaw effects as a result of braking....

Not looking too good this weekend. Moisture from the gulf is mixing with the Hurricane from the pacific. Supposed to bring us up to 8" of rain tonight and tomorrow. That is a lot of water in a short period of time.

Let's see. I have a Pilot 30cc Extra 330 to finish. I need to fix the landing gear on my Bill Hemple XD. I have an Aero-Works GT Trainer to build and the parts came in today to fix my Aero-Works 50cc Edge 540.

I can be a hermit for the weekend and also be productive. Life is good!
