Now for the long story? [emoji6]
Well long story short, my motorcycle is no longer as nice as it used to be... Not terribly less nice, but just not that new bike shine...

An even more important tip is to never try and catch a falling hobby knife.Never let your hobby knife roll off the table while you're busy covering.
After 25 years without one, that glass of whiskey looks really good to me. The airplane looks good as well!I got started on covering the turtle deck. Damn. I officially hate covering turtle decks. I was a little concerned about getting a clean border between the white and red so I taped a long piece of poster board along the line of demarcation. Then I worked the covering down all the way to and over the edge of the poster board. After I made sure the covering was stuck down good I got the little seam where it transitioned over the poster board as small as possible. Then I laid a long metal ruler op top of the covering and pinched it up against the edge of the now covered poster board edge and made a the cut with a new blade between the two. Orthobird suggested doing only one side then taking a beer break. I substituted with whiskey.

It's low tech but I put a zip tie around the hobby knife and leave about 1" as a tail. That way it does not roll anywhere.
