Hey what do you guys use for a workbench topper material? I'm looking for something that won't scratch covering and isn't too expensive, and also isn't a towel or carpet

You can also check out your local fabric/ sewing shop. They have durable toppers that a #11 blade wont cut through but you can actually get a t- pin to stick in it. I found out they catch fire kinda easy though. Dho!

My gassers are all RTF. Needing something to do, I decided to pull out one of my first planes which was a Great Planes Dazzler 40 fun fly and make it airworthy to fly here at the house. After all I have 100 acres to fly over here.

Picked up this Great Planes Super Sportster 40 from a buddy this morning at work @wecoyote Has an Enya40 on the nose and JR servos inside. Motor is currently soaking in some glow fuel to see if it will free up. Will throw some heat at it in the morning after a overnight soak. Now I'm thinking the bottom of the wings need either some stripes or checkers to liven it up a bit. What does everyone vote.

Looks a lot like the old 120 four stroke one that I have hanging from the ceiling in my garage that has been there for over 15 years. I always liked the look of those airplanes.

Had one of the 120 size built up kits and used the ol' OS BGX...........

Those things are so cool! Hard to believe one of the engines they used, the Wright R-975 was also in an early Sherman tank.

Everything between a Jacobs R-755, 225 hp and a Wright R-1820, 710 hp, including a special geared Pratt & Whitney R-985, @ 600 hp.

Look at the sizes of the cowlings in this photo, all drawn at the same scale.

Blue checkers I vote!

Had one of the 120 size built up kits and used the ol' OS BGX...........

Only blue I got is metallic blue. Will see how it looks next to the blue that's on it.
