Basic digital scales, with choice of units. I trust it to 1/10 of a pound, which is close enough for what I'm doing with an 18 lb. model.

I used two 25 lbs digitals on the mains and a 10 lbs one on the tail. I bought mine on ebay. They are cheap Chinese ones that I checked with a calibration weight I use for a paint scale at work.

They work great! And not having to buy it was awesome.

They aren't cheap but, worth their weight in gold when it comes to balancing a 40% plane
