XG11 SD Card

Ryan/Matt............

I've got the XG11, and it has been flawless. I would like to be able to use the SD card in my radio. I got it 2nd hand with an 8GB card installed. I have yet to see if the card has been formatted to be used with the XG11. If it is not, can you offer a step by step instruction for us that would like to use the card.

I would also like to be able to send the latest and greatest update to my 11, as I would like to try an XBus set up, sometime.

Thanks!

I have no experience in either area... yet.
Mine has been working fine also, so I haven't tackled upgrading it. Haven't even inserted a card into mine yet...
On other radios (spektrum dx series) I haven't had to format the cards though, just stick it in and the radio read it just fine.

Did a bit of searching, this link gives you the latest firmware, and instructions for the update:
http://www.jrpropo.com/english/dl/details.php?hen=d0387&db_flg=eng_dl
update procedure:
http://www.jrpropo.com/english/dl/data/VERUP_MAN_XG11_not_initialize_E.pdf

But just to test whether your radio can read your card, you might try backing up your models to the card via this process:
http://www.jrpropo.com/english/dl/data/XG14_model_copy_E.pdf
Turn the radio off, stick the card in, and then try seeing if it can perform the copy of your current models to SD card.

On the update itself, you need to create a folder on the card using your computer and copy the update file into there. Assuming you are able to copy a model to the SD card following the above procedure, and then copy the file to the card on your pc, it should all go quite easily I think.
