About wrapped up the Yak today. I’ll take it to the field this week and see if I can fire up the DLE that came with it.

A small bit of progress. Landing gear mounted. Opted for no pants as of now, subject to change.

Would have gotten much further if the dummy ordering the hardware specified the correct size!
Also managed to draw a new piece for the cabane strut mounting plate. Needs a small tweak but I’m very pleased with the first iteration.

Cleaned up the EF Muscle Bipe with the special recipe known as Wash Wax ALL by Aero Cosmetics. Great products manufactured by a friend in San Antonio, TX. Link HERE In case you’re interested. Looks much better!

Chased the wrinkles away with the covering iron and opened up the wing bays to survey the damage. Not nearly as bad as it looked.

Fiddled with one end of the pull pull linkage using the new hardware by Secraft from Gator RC. Link HERE. The servo end of the linkage is next using more of their hardware. Link HERE.

Mounted the BNIB stabs with the carbon rods I managed to acquire. Planning to spend time sorting out the wing center section this weekend,

Spent more quality time with the Muscle Bipe.

Epoxied control horns into the right side of the rudder to now have dual horns, and into the two elevators. Connected control rods, ball links and pull pull hardware.

Fuel tank may be a bit large, but it was in my stock. Had a small tank that would be about right for smoke, but haven’t decided yet.

Opened up the center section and started the layout of the new strut mounts that I’ll need to fabricate.

Well that is it for me and OS engine they are not what they use to be have a OS max-55AX and after one and half seasons it is done. It started to run bad about 6 flights ago and progressively got worse And a lot noisier. So decided to have a look inside. After disassembling the motor found the chrome or what ever they use coming off the liner, it is toast will not buy a new piston and liner because I cannot find out if they have fixed the problem. Too bad I always like OS.
