Way cool man! I still need to finish my MMW Beaver.... burned myself out on it and need to rekindle the fire... this helps!
I worked on three DHC-2's (N4794C, N777DH, N60077) in my first six years as and A&P and IA so the airframe holds a special place in my heart.
Started working on the floats a while back and my garage became consumed with kid stuff lol. This month David announced that he's shutting down MMW, so that's sad.
I'll be following along with much interest!

I'm super impressed with the level of detail and engineering that was put into the landing gear. Seeing that the tail has a shock strut and the MLG legs have the scale rubber dampeners is very cool.

Spent some time today on the Beaver. Mundane tasks like edge gluing sheeting for the wing and installing the rudder servo. Nothing really photo worthy.

I do need a better solution for truing the edges of the sheets. Took way too much time but finally resorted to the long sanding block.

What size is the MMW kit? I have a spare set of main gear if you want them.

Really sad to hear about MMW. I kept waiting for another run of their Beaver but stumbled onto this one.

Hopefully you’ve seen the website DHC-2.com, where all the serial numbers are profiled.

Here are the ones you worked on. Really cool!!

N4794C - c/n 342
N777DH - c/n 47
N60077 - c/n 1419

The ‘mundane’ tasks on my Cub build number in the 100’s of thousands…….

The MMW beaver is 1:6.3 so 91.4" so close to 16% - was going to put in on floats, but was debating to change to electric for reliability and noise. Thinking I'lll just complete it and put wheels on it.

Yes, I love that webpage! 94C had 35K hours on it ten years ago. I wonder where it is now. so much history in these old birds.
