Made a small cowl for the plane to improve the aerodynamics of the front. left a 3mm clearance around the motor to cool the engine, hopefully it is enough. Just do not know how the finish the part. I think it needs to be painted.it is only held in place with some tape for now.

Still cold and snoww.😝
ok the tail section is done and covered. Now just have to finish off the wing. Next building a special cowl for the plane I believe it will be ruled illegal Time will tell but it will reduce the air drag around the motor.

Illegal? Have you ever looked into the extreme speed prop plane forums over on RCU?

Can you cover it? What is made out of?
I am not sure what to do. It is 3D printed but do not know out of what material. So I am not sure if it can take the heat from an iron. It is very thin and light but strong enough to do the job. It only weighs 4 grams. If anyone has a suggestion I can really use the help. Know nothing about 3D printed parts.

If it was me, I’d hit it with some purple spray paint and call it good.
