    What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

    Most times, 7-11 channels are all you need. It depends on what airplane and how you set it up. Most 35% aerobatic aircraft will require 10 channels, not including smoke.

    I think Im gonna remove the blind nuts from the firewall, and use a piece of 1/8" ply and some washers to mount the standoffs. Pushed a blind nut out removing the stand offs. Not to mention, I ruined 6 10-32 blind nuts.

    Back to the lathe on Monday. Need to take 1/8" off the stand offs. Yep, the 1/8" I added, I need to take remove. Oh well. Trials and tribulations. Guess I can still trim for the carby.

    Mounted up, but still need to trim the firewall for Mr. Carb. A "yes, please" pic coming in a few minutes. Just looks naked with no carb on the bottom of the engine!

    The remaining blind nuts are posing to be problematic in the firewall..... Beet will make me do things I will regret. But, I think I am onto something that will whoop up on it. ;)

    Got'er done! 3 hr of lathe work. I give myself an extra .125" on the length of the stand off. So, total length is 1.625". And my tolerances are within .005" ;) 1.622-1.627".

    Getting the process rolling!! I'm taking 1" round bar stock down to .75". Id like to keep it at 1", but the weight offset is greater than I like.

    I juat wanna say to UPS..... Piss off you crooks! $60 to send a 12" cube box that weighs 8.88# to Tucson, AZ. Ridicules!! Postal service would have been half that cost! UPS for a friday delivery was $100!! I about fell over in the store.

    Yeah, the Torque motor will pull less A than my Scorpion did. I spec'd my Scorpion to be more badd ass than the Torque motor. ;)

    I ran 3700s in mine. Tried 3300 and 4000s. They all work. Even flew on 5000s. Made it more nose heavy, but still fun.

    Elbow deep in 2 5000# lift tables that have hydraulic leaks. All brand new from the manuf. Should be no leaks. Just trivial stuff for the leaks. Have I mentioned I dont like this job........ Havent liked it from day 1. But they have paid my medical bills and so forth. So, I really cannot...
