    Looking forward to you starting your covering. I have family visiting so it put the brakes on the project this week and this weekend is the red bull air race. 40% chance of rain this weekend though. On a good note I got the funds for the 150L!! Waiting on control horns to get here also.

    Yes I think I'm just going to do a bit to allow for a small hinge gap, hopefully I can get a small hinge gap.lol.

    Yes it was good to get in the air. Had my first dead stick with my Da 150 though at the bottom of a spin. Caught a mesquite tree on the way back to the strip but the flying gods were with me and not much more than a nick to the airframe. I got back home and was looking over the wing on the raven...

    I'm going to order the jtec horns Monday. They come with the hard points so that is a bonus. Checked my aileron deflection with my current bevel and its 40 degrees. Going flying to clear my head.

    I agree but what I'm thinking is if the hinges are more to the top and the arms over the hinges the ailerons will move more down than up with the same inputs or am I wrong?

    I agree with everything said. Made me think though when you said about the carf being top hinged my ailerons aren't top hinged but it isn't in the middle either. About 1/3 down. Man this is going to require some thought. Better grab a beer. Thanks for the pics!

    13357=7241-991A4D7C-FEA3-424D-AA44-4A3ED35C73CF.jpgWell I'm preparing everything to start the control horns and already run into an issue. The horns provided with the kit are no way going to get pivot point over the hinge line. Should I get different horns or just install these?

    I found Henry Pioron method of building a control horn box and it looks great. He installs his before he puts on the LE also but I think I can install it from the top and make sure it makes good contact with the bottom sheeting and the LE.
