I guess what I was getting at is you still have to pull the prop to gain access to the bottom of the engine, which is where most of the maintenance resides. A full split cowling allows this....and is no more problematic than any other cowling. I split mine on my 35% Krill for just that reason...- Pistolera

Yes, unless you're a competitor or really into precision aerobatics, it is not exactly a "spectator sport". The 4 minute free however certainly is!!! Get with another IMAC competitor and go through the sequence with a stick plane. Then fly while they watch and offer guidance. Also watch THEM fly to see (hopefully ) what it should look like. Read the judging criteria in the rulebook. Go to a judging school....everything is explained in...- Pistolera

Very nice Cam. Good luck this weekend. On the Hysol....love the 9462. Very strong bonds. Quite often I just squirt some on a magazine (one of the few things the AMA rag is good for ;) ).....then mix and apply with a BBQ skewer. Save on Hysol and tip waste.
