    78'' Extra

Realize you hinge them yourself so it is possible to get 90 degrees up with enough gap. The linkage won't go that far. It had enough pitch authority for my tastes. Needs more rudder. If I ever get really really bored in the winter one could add some meat to the rudder aft.

    Let's try this again.

You can see how close to cam over you are. I use a 2" arm and the forward spline to stop it.

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I put the A60-6XS into a 72 330SC. I used the 155A Gecko though. I should hook the HV up just to test it on the ground. The A60-8S is waiting on AJs new Laser.

You have to be careful with the elevator. With too much you can get a cam over due to how close the pocket is to the horn. You get plenty of rudder throw, just that it is undersized compared to the crazy ones we see now and with the long fuse you do not get crazy yaw authority. 1.5 turns on a...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

From what I can tell the only person that can give any info is Chris Hinson or Daniel as the only one I have ever seen anything about is the electric one seen at SEFF. The assumption is that it is built in the same size class as the 78 extra with the same features like the tunnel on the gas...

    15cc EF 60" Edge 540T-EXP Gasser

Wind defeated us today. Even my 89 slick was sketchy. Flying tomorrow with dth7 so we shall see if we can get some footage.

    72" Extra 330SC

Maidened it today. Had some teething problems with servo arm (Spot On V1s, there is a reason there is a V2). I am switched them out for SWBs. The battery is all the way forward and the CG worked out. Tried it with a wrench strapped in for the first flight, but did not need it. Thank god I...

    15cc EF 60" Edge 540T-EXP Gasser

Finally got to fly the new GT15 today. All I have to say is WOW. Once we figured out that a servo extension was backwards (a bad lot I got a tradeshow) and hooked up the hall sensor correct, it started right up. Little bit of tuning on the high speed needle like a glow motor and we were all...

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

I don't have nearly as much experience with the Vess props as others. I like my 20B on a VVRC 40. I did not like the Stealth 28B on my 120 due to noise and was not as nice as others. I have a 25B I bought to try on my 70cc twins. Have not tried it yet.

You won't go wrong on either one of them.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

I have used a LOT of props in this size. The 2 that stand out are the Falcon 24x9 and the Mejzlik 24x10TH. For this motor I would say get the Mej as it can absorb more power than the Falcon.

    72" Extra 330SC

I have Gens Ace 5300 30c that I have had for a while that I will use at first. I was looking at Glacier 30c 6000s.

    72" Extra 330SC

I decided today to do mine up 6s as well. I toyed with 12s, but the batts just don't fit without some sort of battery tray. My trusty A60-6XS has it's latest home (at least #5, maybe 6). The DA-35 will go someplace else. I have been considering picking up some 6s 6000s for an extra minute of...

    78'' Extra

Tyler has helped me a number of times. First you need to get the geometry as best you can with arm length equal to the distance from the hinge to the attach point on the surface horn. Next you need to get the throw you want with as close to 150 each way in the radio. use a throw meter to get...

    32" MXS-C! Backyard insanity!

I have one of these on the way. Got the digital power combo for it, so no more playing with different motors. I have had good experience with my motrolflys on the yak and pitts, but this was the easy button. For me I prefer the Yak, so I think this will work for me. My laser is also poorly...

    3DHS 70" Velox

I just flew my 48" VR1 for the first time this season. I just love how it tumbles and flies crazy stuff. It is the only 48" plane I have left and I remember why i keep it. I need to tach my 26cc one this weekend and get some comparative numbers with the electric setups for thrust and pitch speed.

    3DHS 70" Velox

I was looking at getting the A50-14S and running a 18x10 as it is 425kv like the motrolfly. This looks like a plug and play option on the ebox from what I can tell. This reminds me to get my gasser out sometime soon. It is a lot of fun.

    Extreme Flight 104 Extra

Here is the data from the spreadsheet. Very interesting. I corrected this for density altitude. Almost the same static thrust, but the 27x11 has a much higher pitch speed. The 29 must unload more as it was ripping and the 27 was not.

I run savox 2270s in my elevators and have not noticed any flutter. I know Cody runs BLS-157s in his. I will have to look to see which hole the elevators are in, but I know they are 2" arms. ghoffman put mine together for me last season when I was slightly disabled and maybe he remembers. I...
